I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now and not defer or neglet it. For I shall not pass this way again. William Penn
I’ve carried this quote in my purse, written on a 3×5 index card, for years. I forget that I have it and then, when rearranging/cleaning/switching purses, there it is and I am reminded of the fragile nature of life. And to work on keeping my karma right.
You can repeatedly hear or read about people saying that “life is too short” or one must find “their purpose.” As I’ve gotten a tad bit older (tee hee), I don’t see life as a race to find meaning before the lights go out. I see life as ever evolving change and opportunities to determine what it is one wants to do with it. I welcome the changes and the choices.
