You may, loyal readers, have noticed that change is afoot around here. I settled in from my whiplash frenzy cycling through WordPress design themes (I channeled U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” for that period). I started doing the A Round of Words in 80 Days challenge. And now I am looking to refocus the energy of my posts.
First, another shout out to Carrie Spencer for her help with all things WordPress (shout out to Woodie) and custom header design. She took the circle of words and images I kicked her way and made it flow. Definitely tap into her skills if you need help in that area. Claps, high-fives, hugs and kittens (lots of kittens) to you Carrie!
Below is my current direction. Yes, it is subject to future change. Isn’t that one of the points of life… future change? I’m not a stay in a box type of gal and being a youngest child, no one will be putting this baby in a corner. But I like you (I really like you) and want to let you know what’s rumbling through my mind.
Melodic Mondays – These are posts that I’ve already being doing on Mondays that link back to music in some way. Think of it as relatable life moments linked by song.
Wild Child Wednesdays – This is where I post my past life party pictures. Um, nope. Yeah, you aren’t going to see those. Not that I don’t want to share, but rule #1 in the past life party credo was don’t get caught in pics. I can tell you some great stories… I just can’t show you. So, Wednesdays will be a freedom ride of open topics.
Found It Fridays – This is where my Sharing is Caring mash-ups will now move.
Once American Idol season starts, I may perk up here and there on Thursdays for my Idol Rants posts, which include my love/hate relationship (read – addiction) with AI and may expand to other reality performance shows. If you are a The X Factor fan, check out my recaps at RealityNewsOnline.com. Last night was the results show, which told us the top 16 that made it to the live show round, and there were some surprises.
What do you think about my changes?
Is there anything you’d like to see? (No the party pics aren’t an option. 🙂)
How has your blogging direction changed over time?
are you suuuuuuuuuuuuure we can’t see the pictures????? =) thanks for the shout out barbara, and woodie says hey!
You are welcome Carrie! About the pics, sometimes I wish we’d taken more of our adventures because they’d be a hoot now.
You are putting a lot of quality thought into this Barb! I’m waiting for your AI rants!
Thanks Patricia! I’m learning it is an ever evolving process. And each year, I have such high hopes for AI… until I’m tossing stuff at the screen. Heh. 🙂
I think this is going to be great and lots of fun. I enjoy your mash-ups so I’m glad you’re continuing with those.
Thanks for commenting Kate! I like doing the mash-ups as well so I’m glad I’m able to tweak my schedule for it to fit.
Hi Barbara, I know I find it helps for me to have a schedule. I think yours sounds great. I thought about doing music Mondays at one point too, but decided not to post on Monday since I do articles that day. Love the comment about no pictures! lol I know that I’m glad no one had cameras in their phones when I was a young adult. ::shudder:: 🙂
Oh my goodness Jen! Camera phones would have been the death of me. That and people posting pics and video everywhere. Thanks for commenting and the feedback on scheduling.
That’s what I need to do is sit down and stick to a schedule. 🙂
I know Nellie. It took me a minute to get myself set. Thanks for stopping by!
I’m pouting over the party pictures, but I *suppose* I’ll get over it. I like the new direction, though. Sounds like it’ll be lots of fun to follow and read. 😀
Ha ha ha Lena! Okay, I guess I need to go party like I’m back in the ’90s and make some new pics. 😉 Thanks for the blog love!
I LOVE your music posts! This all sounds fantastic to me. Can’t wait!
Woo-hoo for the music! Thanks Annalise. Those were my first attempt at a theme day and it kind of stuck.
I’m here for the ride no matter where you take me!
And yeah, we need pictures.
Heh heh…no pics. 🙂
