Fighting off a migraine today…combo from too much hidden salt in meals since Thursday and the weather change to a 20 degree drop in temperature and some lake effect snow vibes.
Favorite antagonist and why!
I have a few from classics and I think all go to their commitment to the evil tasks at hand. The first is Lady Macbeth. She harped on Macbeth until he operated to her demands (then went his own morally corrupt way). The evil driven by power hunger is so fascinating. Next great characters are Napoleon and Snowball from Animal Farm. There’s that power corrupt thing again and the logic employed to work the schemes. The brutal get them before they get you mentality. And each of these characters are well-rounded. You get the motivation behind their actions.
Favorite minor that decided to shove himself into the spotlight and why!
Hmm…nothing is coming instantly to mind on this one, either from works I’ve read or my own writing.
What are your favorite character interactions to write?
Those where I’m going, okay how did these two cross paths and how is this going to end? I like when weird scenarios hit my mind and I have to figure out how it all works and why the players are acting the way they are. Where I think I know someone’s motivation, then they run the other way.
